Crisis expert services are responding to a solitary car or truck collision on a primary road in Shanklin this afternoon (Sunday).
1 equipment from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Hearth and Rescue Company is in attendance on Landguard Manor Highway, along with colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Law enforcement.
Crews have rushed to the scene following a blue Lexus overturned on the junction with Maritime Cross Road, just yards from Shanklin Fire Station.
Firefighters have stabilised the upturned car and the occupants are totally free from the wreckage.
UPDATE @ 18:12 – Firefighters have now stood down and returned the brief length to Shanklin Hearth Station owning stabilised the car making it possible for the occupants to exit.
The motor vehicle stays on its roof getting collided with a nearby backyard wall resulting in intensive injury to equally the motor vehicle and the brick construction.
The occupants of the automobile are currently being checked by paramedics. The street stays shut amongst Marine Cross Highway and Hyde Street.
UPDATE @ 20:00 – The highway has now reopened adhering to the recovery of the car or truck by Bartletts.
Island Echo has been told that the 4 occupants of the car or truck – imagined to be holidaying on the Island – have suffered only minimal injuries through the incident.
It is recognized that a passerby who witnessed the incident unfold assisted 3 of the 4 occupants out of the vehicle before the unexpected emergency products and services arrived on scene. The final was assisted by the fire crew.
